Avocado Melon Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe avocado – halved, pitted, and scooped
  • 1 cup honeydew melon chunks
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • 1 cup fat-free milk or almond milk
  • 1 cup fat-free plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup 100% apple juice or white grape juice
  • 1/2 tbsp honey

Instructions:

  1. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
  2. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and place it in the blender.
  3. Add the honeydew melon chunks, lime juice, milk, yogurt, apple juice (or white grape juice), and honey to the blender.
  4. Pour into glasses and serve chilled. (Keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. If preparing ahead, stir gently before pouring into glasses.)

Notes:

  • Dairy-Free Alternative: Use almond milk, oat milk, or coconut yogurt instead of dairy.
  • Extra Fiber: Add 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds or chia seeds for an extra fiber boost.
  • Lower Sugar Option: Replace fruit juice with unsweetened almond milk to further reduce sugar content.
  • Make It Thicker: Use frozen melon or ice cubes for a frostier texture.
