Instructions:
Toast the Bread: Toast your slice of bread until it reaches a golden and firm texture.
Prepare Avocado: While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon into a bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocado until it reaches your desired consistency. Add a pinch of salt (about ⅛ teaspoon) and mix well. Adjust salt to taste if needed.
Assemble: Spread the mashed avocado evenly onto the toasted bread slice.
Optional Toppings: Customize your avocado toast with any of the following toppings:
Everything Bagel: Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
Loaded: Top with chopped fresh radish, green onion, jalapeño (seeds and ribs removed), and toasted sunflower seeds.
Tomato-Basil Avocado Toast with Balsamic Drizzle: Add sliced tomatoes, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar or glaze, and torn fresh basil leaves.
Cafe Gitane-Style Avocado Toast: Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice, then sprinkle with red pepper flakes and flaky salt.
Serve: Enjoy your avocado toast immediately while the toast is warm and the avocado is fresh.
