AHA Conference: Healthy Foods Reported to Improve Quality of Life for Cardiac Patients

A randomized study of 150 adults recently hospitalized for heart failure found that those receiving medically tailored meals or fresh produce delivery, along with dietary counseling, reported improved quality of life versus those only receiving counseling. There were no significant differences in hospital readmissions. The study highlights the potential of food delivery and nutrition support to boost well-being in heart failure patients.
